New Junior Boarders
This semester we had the pleasure of welcoming new additions to the Boarding family. I commend these boys for their transition to life in Boarding and at the College, as well as acknowledging the current Junior Boarders and their positive contribution. A strong sense of family spirit is permeated in Boarding and we are blessed to have the following boys on the Hill:
Bodhi Riley (Year 7)
Nash Thomas (Year 7)
Cooper Thomas (Year 8)
Connor Rose (Year 8)
Karrwii Fair-Townsend (Year 8)
Lei Kelekolio (Year 9)
Ahmed Al Othri (Year 9)
Assessment Calendar
The boys have been working hard during study completing their homework, as well as revisiting classwork to consolidate their knowledge and understanding. The assessment period is near and I encourage you to refer to the attachments below, and begin having a conversation with your son in regard to the tasks that are approaching.
ISA Rugby
This weekend the boys will travel to Castle Hill to play against Oakhill College. The Valens boys are very excited and eager to play, as some of the weekly boys will be lacing up for the 15 a side game. Attached are the details:
Award Winners
The following boys are to be congratulated for their effort in Semester One, as they have been recognised for academic achievement:
Marshall Anderson (PDHPE - 1st in course)
Angus Pursehouse (Industrial Technology Metals - Equal 1st in course)
Jackson O'Hehir (Industrial Technology Metals - Equal 1st in course)
The Boarding Community are very proud of these boys and their academic achievement. Further, the challenge has been set for the Junior Boarders to improve on their previous effort in Semester Two. As Matthew Brennan stated in his Principal's address: 'You need to work on the moments that nobody sees ... What sacrifices are you going to put in place for academic success?'
