Day 1
We arrived at camp on Monday at around 11 o’clock. We unpacked in our rooms who I shared with Sebastian and Sam. Our room was right next to the footy fields where the Manly Sea Eagles were training. We headed on up to lunch, we had burgers.
Our first activity was SUP [Stand Up Paddle boarding]. We were in home rooms so Deklin was in all our activities which was good. We paddled around for an hour, after that we went to raft building. We split up into teams and the challenge was to make a raft and then paddle it around 50 metres to see if it could handle the water. A day boy and I stayed on top of the raft with a matchstick, we could not get the matchstick wet because we had to light it when we finished. We won; the other team didn’t even get their raft in the water! Day 1 finished.
Day 2
We woke up at 7am and went straight to breakfast where we had toast and cereal. We sat around for a little and then went to our activity, we had kayaking first. We probably paddled around for an hour down a creek and we had challenges like running across the kayaks to each other which was fun.
After that we had bow and arrow shooting. I had never done that before, so it was a fun challenge. Deklin and I had a competition which luckily, he won, it was a fluke. Then we moved on to just like a small bunch of different activities like crate stacking and things like that.
Day 3 - last day
We woke up to rain this morning which was nice, but also annoying because we were making damper in the morning. Once we left the house, we walked past the Manly Sea Eagles training, which I wanted to watch but we couldn’t, so we kept walking to damper making. We made fires and cooked our food. I had never tried it before, but it tasted good! We then went to a escape room which was hard work because there was lots of reading and information to remember. We failed by only 1 lock which was annoying, after that we walked to lunch and we had burgers. After lunch we hopped on the bus and made our way back to the Hill.
