Dear Valens Family,

Your son is to be congratulated for completing 9 weeks of remote online learning. Amidst all the challenges of learning from home, your son has adjusted and persevered to do their best. Thank you for your ongoing support and I feel that our collaborative partnership has strengthened as a result of the increased communication during the online period. I appreciate the kind and thoughtful messages I have received throughout the term.

I would also like to acknowledge Ms Sue Santa Maria and Luke Morrissey for their online support. ‘Grandma Sue’ has been providing our boys with virtual tours of Fingal and Valens House, as well as sharing words of encouragement in our weekly meetings. Thanks Luke for checking in with the boys as well as working hard behind the scenes to get our boys back safely and for your effort in constantly trying to improve the Boarding space.

Yesterday was our final Valens Meeting for the term and it was pleasing to see their smile and listen to the boys interact. Staying connected was a strong focus for this term and I commend the boys for responding positively. The Valens Boarding Online Competition was an opportunity for the Valens boys to maintain contact and the winners were announced in our meeting. Congratulations Ky Runciman, Harry Ryman and Oscar Saunders – well done gentlemen.
